When you start having dreams about exotic places you want to see, you know you have to go somewhere new and thats what happened to me one early morning in Nottingham (where I used to put up). I instantly bought a SUV on rent and picked up my friends for a weekend trip to Llandudno in Northern Wales which was just a 4 hours drive away from Nottingham. Scenic roads with favourite music and lots of junk food along with a short drive just next to the sea is just amazing. When you enter it you realize it is a small town where you will hardly find any english folks just like any other town in wales, but a lot of warm welsh smiles.

The excitement of being in a new country, that too all of a sudden is overwhelming. We reached there with no prior bookings or any accommodation, which we although found later, but moreover we got into a fight over dinner. New to the Welsh ways we didn’t know that once ordered we couldn’t give more order in the middle of the meal. So when a waiter at this restaurant told us that if we want to ordered another snack (after our initial order) and keep calling him again and again then we could leave, it made the already hungry boys very angry and mad, leading to a huge argument of abuses. We did create a scene but later realized and accepted that it was probably there way of being and we should accept it. Perhaps not all cultural appropriations seem acceptable at all times but then again one must ‘do as the romans do in rome’. The entire welsh coastal town goes quite pretty early except for the 2-3 clubs you can hit at night till late. Being on the sea shore, the town gets rather cold at night so its always advisable to carry a coat/jacket. The best place to visit here is the tram line and the cable car which gives the whole view of the seaside town and contrives a sense of peace as well as excitement at the same time. It is extremely above the ground level and some people like me could also trek down the miles to get a sip of adventure but others who are not one of those can obviously take the cable car back too. The trek from down there is breathtaking (pun intended) and fun. Also there is a famous castle not very far from the town which is a good place to visit. You could get a feel of the towers and the history behind them by just reading through it and enjoying its air without paying more and buying a fucking headphone equipment to take you around the place (which I stupidly did).

I think that will be all as I might start to sound critical about things but all in all the trip was kickass through its experience. Try and chill at the beach (if its warm and you are lucky) during the afternoon where you could enjoy some stalls and games, and the salty winds. Also for the people who loveeee their food must take note that welsh take their orders only one time throughout your meal. So stock up all at once! :p
